The manufacturer and model Alex Garrard retired farmer has spent over 33,000 hours will the scale model of Herod's Temple to life. Meticulously researched, it accommodates more than 4,000 figures and occupies over 200 square feet.

"Everything is handmade. I cut plywood frames for walls and buildings and all the bricks and clay tiles were baked in the oven, then glued" he says.
