It's time for another visit to Austin for South by Southwest Film Festival - definitely not a lame festival, despite what some bloggers may think. We have 13 of our writers in Texas to cover the event (though not all exclusively for us), so we're sure to have a lot of rave reviews, interviews and everything that seems worthy information next nine days. Today was devoted mainly to travel and placed in a long line of "projection picnic ass" of the opening night of Kick-Ass, but leaves again every night, because all the best of our coverage and others.

Sales: Strand Releasing has acquired North American rights Taqwacores, Eyad Zahra story for the Muslim punk scene. The film premiered at Sundance earlier this year, but also screens at SXSW. Stage version is scheduled for the fall.

Our Coverage: Cinematical has a bit things started early last night, as Erik Childress shared his list of movies to see play this week in Austin. He also interviewed The People vs. George Lucas Director Alexandre O. Philippe. His interviews today include Elektra Luxx director and director Sebastian Gutierrez Miranda Bailey green light. For comments, Todd Gilchrist has the first look at the movie everyone is dying to see, Kick-Ass. Unfortunately, he writes, "like a movie, Kick-Ass is a comic book come to life too, but not much more ... [that] never found enough cohesion and clear enough to become a fully satisfying comedy.
